Police launch witness appeal after motorcyclist dies in collision near Herne Bay
The collision is being looked at by the Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit
Police have launched a witness appeal after motorcyclist died in a collision near Herne Bay yesterday.
Officers were called out just after 10am to a report of a grey Yamaha MT motorcycle and a red Citroen C3 car colliding on the A299 Thanet Way.
The motorcyclist was at the head of a convoy of four motorcycles when the collision took place. The car was travelling in the same direction as the motorcycles.
The motorcyclist, a man in his 60s, was confirmed dead at the scene.
Kent Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are appealing for any witnesses to the collision, or anyone who might have seen the vehicles shortly beforehand, to contact them.
