Two killed in fatal collision near Pembury on A228 Pembury Northern Bypass

Police appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage after motorcycle crash

Police are investigating a fatal collision near Pembury that claimed the lives of a motorcyclist and their passenger over the weekend.

The incident occurred at approximately 6.40pm on Saturday 20th December 2025, on the A228 Pembury Northern Bypass near the junction for Old Church Road.

The collision involved a black Triumph motorcycle, a light-coloured Jaguar car travelling towards Tunbridge Wells, and a silver Ford van heading in the opposite direction.

Emergency services attended, but the rider of the motorcycle and their passenger, both aged in their 30s, were sadly pronounced dead at the scene. Their next of kin have been informed.

Investigation underway

Enquiries are being led by Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit to establish what caused the collision.

Appeal for witnesses

Officers are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision or the vehicles involved beforehand.

Drivers are urged to review dashcam footage from the area at the time, which may provide valuable evidence to the investigation.
