Elderly man critically injured in Larkfield van collision
Police appeal for witnesses and dashcam footage after Leybourne Way incident.
An elderly man has been critically injured following a collision involving a van in Larkfield, Kent.
The incident occurred at approximately 8.15am on 21st December 2025 on Leybourne Way, near the junction with Gighill Road, and involved a white VW van.
The driver stopped at the scene, and officers from Kent Police, along with ambulance crews, attended. The pedestrian, aged in his 80s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Police enquiry and road closures
The Serious Collision Investigation Unit is now leading enquiries into the circumstances of the crash.
Road closures remain in place in the surrounding area, and motorists are advised to avoid Leybourne Way and its junction with Gighill Road where possible.
Appeal for information
Kent Police are urging witnesses to come forward to assist their investigation and provide any footage that could be valuable in determining what happened.
