Drugs worth more than £8000 seized from Thanet
Police found a block of cocaine, cannabis and cash in a Margate home
A Margate man's been charged in connection with the uncovering of £8000 worth of drugs in Thanet.
An investigation by Kent Police was launched into a drug line suspected of supplying the east Kent area, which led to officers searching a car and a property in Margate on the afternoon of Monday.
Phones, cash and a block of cocaine, worth an estimated street value of over £8,000, were seized by officers, as well as a quantity of cannabis.
A man was arrested and taken into custody.
30 year old Blake Todd from Victoria Avenue was later charged with possession of cannabis with intent to supply, and possession of cocaine with intent to supply.
He appeared at Margate Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday August 4th and was remanded. The case will next be heard at Canterbury Crown Court on a date to be confirmed.
