Dog dies in Margate house fire

Four fire engines rushed to the scene this morning

A dog has died in a house fire in Margate.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service were called to the blaze at Taddy Gardens, Margate at around 1am this morning (3 February).

Four fire engines attended and crews, wearing breathing apparatus, used hose reel jets and main jets to extinguish the flames.

There were no reported injuries, but sadly a dog died at the scene.

The cause is not yet known.
