Cyclist dies after falling from his bike in Tonbridge

The accident happened on Sunday at Haysden Country Park and Brook Street

A cyclist has died after falling from his bike in Tonbridge.

Police were called shortly after 10.40am on Sunday (6 July) to a report a man had fallen from his bike in Lower Haysden Lane.

Officers and ambulance crews attended a location between Haysden Country Park and Brook Street and a 56-year-old man later died in hospital. His next of kin have been informed.

Enquiries are being carried out by the Serious Collision Investigation Unit. Motorists who were in the area are urged to check for any dashcam footage which may assist the investigation, particularly that of a man on a green and black bicycle in the Haysden area.
