A teenager's been arrested after a high-speed police pursuit in Kent.

Officers requested a vehicle to stop in Bligh Way in Rochester on Saturday 11 October.

A pursuit began and the vehicle drove off along Watling Street, and then to the A2 London-bound between the Medway and Shorne exits, reaching speeds of up to 100mph.

The vehicle, a silver BMW 320D collided with another vehicle, a red BMW saloon at about 2.45pm near to the exit for Shorne Country Park.

Two people inside the red BMW, a man and a child received minor injuries and were taken to hospital as a precaution.

No-one was inside the silver BMW when officers arrived and following an area search no suspects were located.

An 18-year-old man from Gravesend was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and failing to stop.

He has been bailed while enquiries continue.
