Investigation launched after car driven 'on pavements near schools' in Sevenoaks police pursuit

Police are now appealing for dashcam footage and witnesses

Police are appealing for dashcam footage and witnesses after a car is reported to have been driven dangerously through Sevenoaks.

Kent Police began pursuing a blue Range Rover in Amherst Hill, Sevenoaks at 4.15pm on Wednesday 10 September 2025. The driver did not stop when officers asked them to.

During the pursuit, the car is alleged to have repeatedly mounted pavements and to have been driven at speeds of 60mph in 30mph areas in wet weather and near schools.

Officers later recovered the vehicle, the registration plate of which begins with SR70, from Evelyn Road, Otford near Sevenoaks.

Investigators are now urging witnesses or anyone with dashcam, doorbell or CCTV footage to call the appeal line on 01622 604100 quoting reference 46/157760/25.
