Fire crews have been tackling a fire at an industrial waste site in Ashford.

Residents near Brunswick Road were advised to keep their windows and doors closed overnight due to the smoke.

Firefighters were battling the blaze which started late yesterday afternoon.

10 fire engines, a height vehicle, and two bulk water carriers were deployed to the scene to extinguish the fire.

Efforts continued overnight to address the situation and mitigate any potential hazards caused by the smoke.

Residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and follow safety guidelines until further notice.
