Body found in search for missing woman from Gravesend

A body has been found in the search for a missing woman from Gravesend.

The discovery was made at Town Pier in Gravesend around midday yesterday. (24 April)

A spokesperson for Kent Police said:

"Formal identification has not yet taken place, however, the family of a 76-year-old woman from Northfleet who was reported missing since Monday 7 April have been informed.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner."
