Antibiotics are no longer being offered as a response to the outbreak of meningitis in Kent last month.

Meanwhile, first doses of the Men-B vaccines will still be available until 8th May 2026.

The University Medical Practice has reported full booking for first dose vaccine appointments from today, Monday, 13th April until Thursday, 16th April 2026.

However, new appointment slots will be available from Friday, 17th April, and can be booked through the online booking system, which goes live this week.

Those eligible for the first dose can book their appointments beginning 17th April through the online platform.

Additionally, those eligible for a second dose will be able to utilise the online booking system this week.

Appointment slots for second doses will be available across various clinics and hubs in Canterbury, Faversham, and Ashford.

Further details on how to book will be updated on the webpage this week.

Eligible individuals are encouraged to stay informed with updates on first and second dose bookings to secure their appointments promptly.
