Motorcyclist dies following crash near Beauly
Police Scotland said their thoughts are with the man's family and friends at this difficult time
A 67-year-old motorcyclist has died following a crash in the Highlands.
He was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary after the collision on the A862 at the junction with the A833 on Saturday morning, and passed away earlier today.
The crash, which occurred at around 11.05, involved two Yamaha MT07 motorcycles and a black Mazda CX5 car.
No one else was injured.
The 47-year-old male driver of the car was arrested in connection with road traffic offences and released pending further enquiries.
Sergeant Calum MacAulay said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the man who has died at this difficult time.
“Enquiries are ongoing and we are continuing to appeal to anyone who witnessed the crash, who has not already spoken to police, to contact us.
“We also ask anyone driving in the area at the time with dash-cam footage to come forward.”
