Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital following collision in North Yorkshire

A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital after a collision in Skipton.

It happened last night (Tuesday) at around 7.10pm on Keighley Road, by the Bay Horse pub near McDonald’s.

Police say the rider, a man in his 30s, is believed to have been riding his blue Honda through the town centre at speed.

He suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital by air ambulance.

The road was closed for investigation work until 12.30am.

North Yorkshire Police said:

"Any witnesses to the collision or the motorcycle being ridden in Skipton immediately prior to the incident to email either [email protected] or contact North Yorkshire Police and ask for either Mark Patterson or Michael McVay."
