Essential gas works being carried out in Ripon

Essential work is being carried out by Northern Gas Networks in Ripon.

Ageing metal pipework are being replaced with new, more durable plastic pipes.

The organisation said

"This work will ensure the continued safe and reliable supply of gas to customers in Ripon, keeping homes and businesses safe, warm and connected.

"The project, which has been planned in collaboration with North Yorkshire Council, is due to begin on Monday 24 August and expected to last until around the end of November."
