Woman dies following house fire in North Lincolnshire
Two other people have been seriously injured and are in hospital
A 71-year-old woman has died after a fire at a property in North Lincolnshire. Two dogs have also died following the incident.
Emergency services were called out to Howe Lane in Goxhill around 11.45pm on Sunday 9th February.
Crew managed to put the fire out and when entering the property they found the woman who was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.
She died in hospital yesterday (Monday 10 February).
Her family have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers at this time.
A 60-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman were also taken to hospital to receive treatment to serious injuries.
Humberside Police have said:
"Enquires remain ongoing to establish the cause of the fire, however the circumstances are not thought to be suspicious at this time.
"If anyone has any information that may be able to assist with our investigation, please contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 484 of 9 January. "
Humberside Fire and Rescue have said:
"We received a call after 11.30 pm on Sunday 9 February to a house fire in Goxhill, North Lincolnshire.
"We sent a total of four fire engines and crews left the incident before 3am. A fire started in a ground floor annex and quickly spread to the kitchen and bathroom.
"Three adults were rescued from the property and given oxygen therapy before being handed over to the paramedics.
"Four dogs were also rescued and given oxygen therapy using pet oxygen masks, though sadly two died at the incident. The incident has been labelled as accidental ignition."
