Woman dies after A18 collision

A 26 year-old woman, who sustained life threatening injuries in a road traffic collision on the A18 Barton Street in North East Lincolnshire yesterday, (Tuesday, 30 June 2026) has died.
The incident occurred at around 2.55pm, when it was reported that a grey Toyota Aygo and an orange Ford Ranger were in collision, near the junction with Beach Holt Lane, resulting in the Ford leaving the carriageway and coming to a rest in a hedge row.
Emergency services swiftly attended the scene and the driver of the Toyota, a 26-year-old woman, was taken to hospital for life-threatening injuries. She has since died in hospital earlier this morning (Wednesday, 1 July 2026)
Her family has been informed and is being supported by specially-trained officers at this time.
Police continue to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have dashcam or CCTV footage from the area around the time of the incident to contact them.
