Teenager arrested after suspected arson in Grimsby

A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of arson following a fire at a property on Eleanor Street in Grimsby yesterday evening (3 November).

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 6:50pm after reports of a suspected arson.

Officers attended alongside Humberside Fire and Rescue Service, and the fire was quickly extinguished.

Fortunately, no one was injured as a result of the incident.

Following initial enquiries, police arrested the teenager, who remains in custody while investigations continue.

Officers are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident, or who may have CCTV or dashcam footage from the area, to come forward.
