Police Dog Gas has us covered after officers spotted a suspected wanted man in the area of Corporation Road in Grimsby on Monday, 25 August 2025.

When approached by officers, the man allegedly attempted to evade arrested by fleeing the area and is then believed to have been seen attempting to enter the loft of a house, from an outside window nearby.

The Dog Unit was deployed and upon searching the address, PD Gas sniffed out a man tucked into the bottom of a divan bed. One look at PD Gas and he rests his case, allowing officers to detain and arrest a 41-year-old man on suspicion of 22 counts of shop theft, two counts of robbery, harassment, and public order offences.

He has swapped out his bed for a cell and remains in police custody, assisting with ongoing enquiries at this time.

It’s bedder days ahead for PD Gas though, who was treated to his favourite snack, as a thank you for his paw-some work.
