Man flees to supermarket roof to avoid arrest in Grimsby

Police say a 31-year-old man has come down from the roof.

A man has been arrested in Grimsby after fleeing to a supermarket room to avoid police.

Humberside officers say they were called to reports of a suspected burglary at Asda on Holles Street at around 5:15am on Wednesday 4 March.

Other emergency services were sent to the area, and the man has since come down from the roof.

A 31-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and causing a public nuisance.
