Man charged with shop theft in Cleethorpes

A man from Grimsby has been charged with three counts of shop theft

A man has been charged with theft following incidents at a convenience shop in Cleethorpes between Saturday 15 February and Monday 17 March (2025).

Nathan Wharton, 36, of Rutland Street, Grimsby has been charged with three counts of shop theft.

He appeared at Hull Magistrates Court on Saturday (5 April) and was remanded into custody.

The force said it is reported a man entered a shop on Carr Lane in Cleethorpes on three separate occasions, taking items including energy drinks, chocolate, and sweets, before making off without payment.

He is due to be sentenced at a later date.
