A man has been charged after reports a person was threatened with a knife after they answered their door in Grimsby.

Paul Hemsworth, 58-years old, of Macaulay Way in Grimsby has been charged with attempted robbery and possession of a knife in a public place.

He was remanded into custody to appear at Hull Magistrates Court today.

It is reported that a man rang the doorbell of a property. When the resident opened the door he is alleged the man threatened them with a knife whilst demanding money.
