Man arrested after reports of a fire in Grimsby

It happened at an electrical substation on Oxford Street

One man has been arrested after reports of a fire at an electrical substation in Grimsby.

Officers were called out around 6.45pm yesterday (Thurs Jan 9th)

Emergency services put a cordon in place to protect members of the public and allow services to work safely.

Police then discovered a suspected cannabis grow inside a nearby property.

A 32-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the cultivation of cannabis and abstracting electricity without authority.

He remains in police custody at this time.

A scene guard remains in place whilst officers try to establish the circumstances surrounding the cause of the fire.

It's not thought anyone has been injured.
