It's been confirmed the Port Operator will bid for freeport status for Immingham Docks.
It would mean certain tax and customs rules would be relaxed.
It's claimed granting Immingham docks freeport status will lead to more jobs and innovation.
Port operator ABP has confirmed it's working to put together a bid to Government.
If passed - it would mean many usual tax and customs rules won't apply.
The Government announced the opening of the bidding process earlier this week.
