An 18 year old pedestrian's been injured in Grimsby after being hit by a car.

It happened around 5 o clock on Tuesday afternoon on Abbey Road.

The man was taken to hospital for fractures to his face.

The driver initially stopped at the scene but didn't leave any details.

Police say they're particularly keen to speak to them and are asking them to come forward.

It's thought to have been a red vehicle.

Officers say their investigation is ongoing.
