Police are investigating the sudden death of a woman in Glasgow’s Eccles Street, which was reported earlier today.

At around 8.25am on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, officers were called to the scene following the discovery of the woman's body.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed the incident, stating that the death is currently being treated as “unexplained”.

“Enquiries are ongoing,” the spokesperson added, though no further details have been released at this time.
