Second man charged over death of David Smith in Glasgow

He's due to appear at the city's sheriff court today

A second man has been arrested and charged after the death of 49-year-old David Smith in Glasgow.

Mr Smith was found at a home in Glenraith Square just before six o'clock on the evening of Tuesday 17th March.

The latest suspect is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today

Another man, aged 38, has already appeared in connection.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A second man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of David Smith in Glasgow last month.

"Mr Smith, 49, was found within a property in Glenraith Square, around 5.45pm on Tuesday, 17 March, 2026.

"The man is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Friday, 24 April.

"Another man, aged 38, was previously arrested and charged in connection with the death. He appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 31 March."
