Rangers sign Joe Rothwell on three-year deal

Rangers have completed the signing of Bournemouth midfielder Joe Rothwell on a three-year deal.
The 30-year old reunites with Russell Martin after spending six months on loan at Southampton in the Championship in 2024.
He helped the Saints to promotion and did the same with Leeds United in a loan spell last season.
The former England youth international came through the ranks at Manchester United but didn't make a first team appearance for the Old Trafford club.
He spent time on loan at Blackpool and Barnsley before making a permanent switch to Oxford United.
Rothwell then moved to Blackburn Rovers in the Championship before signing for Bournemouth.
He made 31 Premier League appearances for the Cherries in 18 months before winning promotion with both Southampton and Leeds in back-to-back loan spells.
It becomes Russell Martin second signing this window after Rothwell's former teammate Max Aarons.
Lyall Cameron also joined following his pre-contract agreement earlier this year.
Speaking to the club's official website, Rothwell commented: "I am delighted to have the deal done and be here. It is brilliant. The size of the club speaks for itself and as soon as the interest was there it was an immediate yes from me.
“With Russell coming in too it made that decision a little bit easier because working with him in the past and I know what type of guy he is and how he wants to do things. That was an even bigger pull for me, but the club speaks for itself.”
Head coach Russell Martin added: “He is a player who we thoroughly enjoyed working with during my time at Southampton.
"His leadership, professionalism and quality were a huge asset. He is joining on the back of two promotions so helps bring a real winning mentality to the group.
"We are excited for Joe to join up the squad, get to know his teammates, and help make the group stronger.”
