Rangers fan jailed for storming pitch during Old Firm game
Jordan Hadden, 28, was one of the first fans from the home end to storm the pitch at the conclusion of the fixture.
A Rangers fan is starting a 16 month jail sentence for encouraging a mass pitch invasion during an Old Firm match at Ibrox in March.
Jordan Hadden, 28, was one of the first fans from the home end to storm the pitch at the end of the game.
He then gestured for others to join the invasion before picking up a bottle and throwing it. A police officer had to take evasive action to prevent being hit with the bottle.
He pleaded guilty to the offences last month and has been given an eight-year Football Banning Order.
Hadden retreated into the stand and was identified and traced by CCTV enquiries. He was arrested and charged on 24 March 2026.
Detective Chief Inspector David Lamont said: “Hadden was involved in the serious disorder that unfolded at the end of this fixture.
"His reckless behaviour was completely unacceptable, and it was fortunate that the officer was able to avoid being struck by the bottle.
“This sentence demonstrates that those who engage in this type of disorder will be held accountable for their actions.
"Our investigation remains ongoing, and we are committed to identifying and tracing everyone involved.”
