Rangers defender Jefte seals move to Palmeiras

Rangers defender Jefte has sealed his permanent transfer to Palmeiras.
The Brazilian moves back to his homeland for a reported fee of £6million plus add-ons.
Jefte joined the Ibrox side last summer from Fluminense after impressing during a loan spell at APOEL in Cyprus.
The 21-year old featured 52 times for the club last season and had made four appearances under new boss Russell Martin this campaign.
Jayden Meghoma has already been brought in as a replacement at left-back.
The England youth international previously worked with Russell Martin at Southampton and has joined on a season-long loan from Brentford.
A club statement read: "We can today confirm the departure of Jefté to Palmeiras for an undisclosed fee.
"The 21-year-old, who joined the club in May 2024, made 56 appearances for Rangers during his time in Glasgow.
"Everyone at Rangers thanks Jefté for his contribution while at the club, and we wish him well for his future career."
