Man who died after Glasgow crash named by police

Patrick Stoddard was 67 years old

A man who died after a crash in Glasgow at the start of December has been named by police as Patrick Stoddard.

Mr Stoddard, who was 66 at the time of the incident on December 4 2025, sustained serious injuries after he was hit by a black Audi 1 on Carmunnock Road.

He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, where he died aged 67, on Saturday 27 December.

Inquiries into the full circumstances of the collision are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to come forward.

Police appeal

Sergeant Jack Swindells said: “Our sympathies are with the family and friends of Patrick Stoddard at this time, and we continue to investigate this collision.

Those with information can contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting reference 2287 of 4 December 2025.

“Members of the public who witnesses what happened, or anyone with dash-cam or doorbell cam footage of the incident is asked to contact police immediately.”
