Eight months after the death of a pedestrian in Cumbernauld, a man's been arrested and charged.

The Fatal road crash happened in May last year on Greenfaulds Road.

The 39-year-old's been reported to the Procurator Fiscal

Police Scotland said: "A 39-year-old man has been arrested following an investigation into a fatal road crash on Sunday, 26 May, 2024.

"The incident happened around 8.10am on Greenfaulds Road, Cumbernauld.

"Emergency services attended and a 49-year-old man, William Henderson, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he later died.

"The 39-year-old was arrested and charged in connection with road traffic offences.

"He has been reported to the Procurator Fiscal."
