Danny Rohl says "special" Dujon Sterling will make injury return
Rangers head coach Danny Rohl has confirmed Dujon Sterling will make his long-awaited return from injury away to Ferencvaros on Thursday.
The versatile defender hasn't featured for the club since April.
Rohl will have his first look at Sterling on the pitch in Hungary - but wouldn't reveal whether it will be from the start or the bench.
The German boss also labelled the Englishman as a "special guy" around the training centre.
"I heard a lot of good things from him," he said. "I see him in the training session. He's a special guy, I must say this.
"I think he is brave enough. He knows what it means, but it's also important that his body is ready.
"I think this is at the moment a question mark. But after such a long injury without a game, then you know the first games are a little bit rusty.
"This is important that we get him as soon as possible in good shape so that he can go 45 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes.
"I think on Thursday he will get some minutes. I have to sleep (on) when he gets the minutes. But of course this is now the next step, that we have him available for the next three weeks and longer, hopefully longer.
"But hopefully then the players come back, they have more choices."
The Ibrox side must win to keep their hopes of progressing in the Europa League alive.
Rohl has picked up one point from three matches in the competition so far.
