Celtic take on Stuttgart in Europa League play-off

Celtic will take on Stuttgart in the play-off round of the Europa League.

Martin O'Neill's side booked their progression from the League Phase with a 4-2 win at home to Utrecht on Thursday night.

The victory meant they finished in 21st place in the table with Ferencvaros and Stuttgart as their two possible opponents.

Friday's draw has determined they will take on the German side with the home leg at Celtic Park on February 19.

The away leg is scheduled for a week later on February 26 - just three days before travelling to Ibrox to take on Rangers in a crucial match in the title race.

It means Martin O'Neill misses out on a reunion with former Parkhead striker Robbie Keane.

The Republic of Ireland international spent six months on loan at the club, scoring 16 times in 19 matches.

His Ferencvaros side also beat Rangers in the League Phase of the competition in December.
