Celtic youngster Daniel Cummings announces exit

Celtic youngster Daniel Cummings has officially announced his exit from the club.

The 19-year old scored 23 goals in 28 Lowland League games for their B team last season.

He also scored six goals in seven UEFA Youth League matches.

Cummings' hot form in front of goal led to Brendan Rodgers substituting him on during their Champions League clash away to Aston Villa for his competitive debut in January.

The club had hoped to pin him down to a longer deal with his contract expiring this summer, but the Scotland youth international has decided to leave.

It is understood Cummings is set to sign a long-term contract with West Ham United.

Cummings posted on Instagram: "After 13 years at my boyhood club. Today I have officially left Celtic.

"I just want to say a massive thank you to all the coaches/staff and everyone associated with the club, It has been a pleasure.

"Another massive thank you to all the boys, It has been a great journey and I have made memories for life. I wish the club and everyone else the best of luck in the future.

"Hail Hail"
