Celtic are close to appointing Wilfried Nancy as their next manager.

The club are nearing an agreement with Columbus Crew from Major League Soccer.

Celtic have been looking for a new boss since Brendan Rodgers resigned last month.

Their former manager Martin O'Neill, has overseen the past five matches, winning four of them.

He will be in charge for Thursday's Europa League game against Feyenoord.

Nancy, who has also managed CF Montreal, won the MLS Cup in 2023 and was named Coach of the Year.

If he arrives we will have to try and united the club fanbase.

Last week's unprecedented AGM was abandoned when shareholders jeered comments by Ross Desmond, son of major shareholder Dermot, and following chants of "sack the board" by others in attendance.

Celtic trail league leaders Hearts by four points but have a game in hand.
