Woman charged in Epping disorder investigation

A woman has been charged with two offences as part of an investigation into disorder in Epping.

Joanne Winter was arrested in Epping on Sunday 27 July, during a planned protest event.

During that event, a number of people became involved in disorder.

The 27-year-old, of Deptford Church Street, London, SE8, has now been charged with assault and criminal damage.

She has been released on bail to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on 22 October.

Winter is the twenty-second person to be charged as part of our wider investigation into incidents of disorder in Epping in July.

In total, 32 people have been arrested or interviewed as part of those investigations.
