Firefighters tackle large field fire in Weeley
Some residents were evacuated from the their homes
Around 40 firefighters have been tackling a significant field fire in Weeley.
The fire which broke out on Monday afternoon (6 July) led to the closure of the A133 in both directions as emergency services worked.
Motorists were advised to avoid the area if possible.
At 6pm, Essex Police confirmed that local residents evacuated due to the fire can now return to their homes.
