Thames Water say repairs have been completed on several burst water mains in Essex which has left 10,000 homes struggling with their water supply since the weekend.

Work has concluded on High Road, Daisy Road, and Chigwell Road, allowing engineers to start recharging the network and increasing water pressure.

For some homes their water supply will have returned overnight but for other affected customers a full restoration is targeted for Friday (14 August).

Thames Water say support is being provided to customers who have been without water, including bottled water deliveries.
