Colchester City Council are telling residents to be vigilant after people reported a scam involving an organisation calling itself the “Migration Centre.”

Recently, some users have reported being contacted by “Migration Centre” and questioned about their eVisa status.

Concerningly, callers have also asked about individuals’ financial and employment situations.

These questions have raised significant concerns about the legitimacy of these interactions.

It has been flagged by the Northwest Strategic Migration Partnership (SMP) and escalated to the Home Office.

The council are urging residents to exercise caution and avoid sharing personal or financial information with anyone claiming to represent the “Migration Centre” or similar organisations without verifying their identity.
