It has now been over 120 days since 30-year-old Vitoria Figueiredo Barreto was reported missing, and officers are continuing their search efforts.
She was last seen in the Brightlingsea area on 3rd March, and new video footage has now been released to aid the investigation.
The footage details Vitoria's movements, combining CCTV and images from her journey on 3rd and into the early hours of 4th March.
According to Detective Superintendent Anna Granger, the investigation has been extensive, yet the absence of substantial leads makes each day difficult for Vitoria's family and friends:
“We remain in regular contact with Vitoria's loved ones, both here in Essex and in Brazil and they continue to be updated on our enquiries and remain at the centre of everything we do.
“120 days is a significant milestone, but for Vitoria's family and friends we know it is yet another day without the person they love.
"Behind every appeal, every search and every enquiry is a family who continue to live with uncertainty.
"We know many people have followed Vitoria's story since March. We are asking them not to forget her.
"The video we are releasing today brings together the chronology of Vitoria's known movements and we hope it may prompt someone to remember something, however small, which could help us."
Despite the challenging 120-day milestone, the determination to find answers continues.
The released video is aimed at prompting anyone with information to come forward, as public input is crucial to the ongoing investigation.
Police encourage anyone who remembers seeing Vitoria or has potentially helpful information to reach out, regardless of its perceived significance.
