Two people have been charged after a serious assault at an address in Chelmsford.
Officers were called at around 11.40am on Tuesday 7 October to Epping Close to reports two men had pushed their way into an address.
It was further reported a man had suffered a stab wound.
Two officers were the first responders, arriving on the scene within minutes and providing immediate first aid to the victim.
Paramedics arrived swiftly after our officers and took the victim on to hospital, where he has received treatment for a serious injury which is thankfully no longer life-threatening.
Immediate enquiries led to the identification of a possible suspect.
A 17-year-old boy, from Chelmsford, was arrested later that same day and later charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and possession of a knife in a public place.
He is next due to appear before Colchester Magistrates' Court on Thursday 6 November.
Further investigative work led by Chelmsford CID resulted in the execution of a warrant at an address in Harwich on Thursday 16 October.
David Neophitou, 26, of no fixed address, was arrested and later charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, attempted robbery and possession of a knife in a public place.
He remains in custody until a hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court on Friday 14 November.
