Tribute paid to 'loving mum' who died in hospital after Waltham Abbey collision

Police are appealing for information in relation to the incident

A family have paid tribute to a 91-year-old woman who died in hospital following a collision in Waltham Abbey earlier this month.

Essex Police were called to the collision involving a silver Citroen C4 and a pedestrian in Leverton Way shortly before 10.30am on Tuesday 20 January.

The elderly woman, Sylvia Fuller later died in hospital.

In a statement her family said: “Our dear loving mum Sylvia Fuller was tragically taken from us, after being hit by a car on a zebra crossing on the way to her club that she loved at the Baptist Church Hall Waltham Abbey.

“She leaves behind two daughters Kathleen and Julie, seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

“Nothing can ease the pain and grief we are feeling. We ask that our privacy is respected at this time.”

Police are appealing for anyone with information, dash-cam or CCTV footage to come forward.
