Three charged with attempted murder following Braintree shooting
Two teenagers suffered serious facial injuries six days ago
Three people are facing charges of attempted murder following a shooting in Braintree that seriously injured two teenagers.
Destiny Ema, 23, Kayden Brown, 18, and a 17-year-old boy who cannot be named due to his age were arrested in the aftermath of the incident on Market Place late on Bank Holiday Monday (Monday 31st August 2026).
Two teenagers were left with severe injuries to their face and upper body - and a third person was also hurt.
Ema, of Meadgate Avenue, Chelmsford, Brown, of Noaks Avenue, Chelmsford, and the 17-year-old from Braintree are set to appear at Chelmsford Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 7th September.
Ema faces additional charges relating to separate incidents, including attempted GBH, various firearm offences, harassment, and malicious communications.
The scheduled court appearances mark a significant step in legal proceedings following the Market Place conflict.
