Detectives investigating a shooting incident in Braintree earlier this week have made three arrests.

Two men from Chelmsford, aged 18 and 23, along with a 17-year-old boy from Braintree, have been detained on suspicion of conspiracy to murder.

Officers have also successfully recovered a shotgun and ammunition as part of their ongoing inquiry.

During the violent encounter at Market Place around 10.10pm on Monday, two teenagers sustained serious injuries to their face and upper body, necessitating continued medical treatment.

A third individual was also injured in the attack, although specific details regarding their condition have not been disclosed.
