Man arrested after crash leaves one injured in Thorrington

A man suffered serious but not life threatening injuries

A serious collision in Thorrington has resulted in one man being hospitalised and another being arrested by Essex Police.

Officers were called to Clacton Road shortly before 4am on Tuesday (7 April) where they discovered an injured man in the road.

The man has been taken to hospital with injuries described as serious but not life-threatening.

As detectives work to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident, a man in his 30s has been arrested.

He is suspected of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving while unfit through drink or drugs, and GBH.

The man remains in custody while investigations continue.

Authorities are urging anyone with information, CCTV or dash cam footage related to the collision to come forward.
