Two people have been charged with murder following a collision where a 12-year-old boy died at Pilgrims Hatch.

Police responded to reports of a incident on Ashwells Road at 5.40pm on Sunday (7th June) where they found Bobby Bloomfield with serious injuries after being hit by a vehicle.

Despite efforts from medical staff, Bobby died in hospital.

His family is being supported by specially trained officers.

A 15-year-old boy and 43-year-old William Lunnon from Pilgrims Hatch were arrested and have been charged with murder.

Both are remanded in custody and are scheduled to appear before magistrates today (Thu 11th June).

The murder investigation, led by detectives from the Serious Crime Directorate, is ongoing, with four additional arrests made on Tuesday (9th June).

Two men aged 65 and 54, along with two women aged 65 and 45, all from Pilgrims Hatch, have been detained on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.

Detective Chief Inspector Greg Wood said, "This remains a complex investigation, and we have made significant progress, including bringing charges and making further arrests.

Our focus remains on establishing the full circumstances and supporting Bobby’s family, who have suffered an unimaginable loss.

I continue to urge anyone with information to come forward. Even the smallest detail could help us build a clear and accurate picture of events."
