Southend United say they are delighted to have signed defender Rayan Oyebade on a season-long loan from West Ham United.

The 19-year-old is a left-footed centre-back.

Oyebade said: “I’m buzzing and can’t wait to get started,”

“I’m really looking forward to it.

“The conversations with Kieron Dyer, Head Coach; he seems to have a lot of trust in me and what I can do, so it’s exciting."

“The goal is to be part of a promotion with Southend United.”

Oyebade signed his first professional contract with West Ham in April last year after progressing through the Hammers’ academy and captaining the Under-18s in the Premier League Cup Final in 2024/25.
