Popstar Jess Glynne to join Justin Timberlake for Essex festival
Pop superstar Jess Glynne will join Justin Timberlake when he brings his world tour to Essex this summer.
The 10-time GRAMMY Award winner is headlining brand-new festival Chelmsford City Live on Friday July 4 and it is announced today he will be joined on the night by London-born singer-songwriter Jess.
2025 marks the inaugural Chelmsford City Live taking place over three days at Chelmsford City Racecourse.
Justin Timberlake and Jess Glynne will kick off the festival and will be followed on Saturday July 5 with a headlining set from multi-award-winning Duran Duran, while Olly Murs has his biggest homecoming show there on Sunday July 6.
London-born singer-songwriter Jess Glynne made history by becoming the first and only British female solo artist to score seven number ones on the UK Singles Chart – among them I'll Be There, Hold My Hand and Don't Be So Hard on Yourself.
Jess has earned a GRAMMY Award, three Ivor Novello Awards, and nine BRIT Award nominations.
With her first two chart-topping albums I Cry When I Laugh and Always In Between becoming Platinum best-sellers, Jess was named on Forbes’ notorious ’30 under 30’ in 2019 following her sell-out world tour.
Justin Timberlake has sold more than 54 million albums and 63 million singles globally throughout his career, with a further 70 million records as the lead vocalist of *NSYNC.
His monumental world tour kicked off in April this year marking Justin’s return to the global stage after five years.
Justin Timberlake’s Chelmsford date will mark the biggest ever single headline live show in Essex with an audience of up to 25,000 people.
Racecourse Commercial Director Nathan Holmes said: “Jess Glynne will be a brilliant special guest for what is set to be an historic night in Essex.
"We are very excited to be adding her to the bill alongside the global superstar that is Justin Timberlake and we can’t wait for her to kick off our first ever Chelmsford City Live in style.”
