Police seek driver after nine-year-old injured in Chelmsford collision

Essex Police are appealing for information following a collision involving a car and a nine-year-old pedestrian in Chelmsford earlier this month.

The incident took place at around 8.30am on 11th December on Trent Road, where the child was hit by a vehicle that failed to stop at the scene. The victim required hospital treatment, although no further details on their injuries have been provided.

Witnesses reported that the vehicle, described as a white hatchback, was last seen turning into Cherwell Drive.

Appeal for driver and footage

Officers have spoken to several witnesses but are urging the driver of the vehicle involved to come forward.

Essex Police have also called on anyone who may have CCTV, dashcam, or doorbell footage from the area to assist with the investigation.
