Police investigating Loughton collision appeal for witnesses

A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with injuries which are described as life-threatening

Officers investigating a serious collision in Loughton this afternoon (Monday 31 March) are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch.

Essex Police were called to Epping New Road, near the junction with Rangers Road, at just after 1.45pm to reports of a collision between a car and a motorbike.

The motorcyclist has been taken to hospital with injuries which are described as life-threatening.

The road has been closed between Robin Hood roundabout and Rangers Road while officers complete their investigations. Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
